Thank you for your registration for the Willunga GEMBOREE.
Just a few items we need to let you know prior to your arrival at Willunga.
Due to circumstances beyond our control all Campers will now need to be
off the oval by the end of the day on Monday 2nd April.
We have been granted permission to camp on the Willunga Park Reserve Oval, but in negotiating with the many stakeholders of the park, the Willunga Primary School has a significant say in the use of the Oval.
As 2018 GEMBOREE will be held during the school term, the school has granted permission for the Oval to be used on the Wednesday and Thursday prior to Easter but requires the oval to be available for school use from 8am on Tuesday 3rd April.
To assist GEMBOREE organisers to ensure that the oval is ready for school use by this time we ask that campers plan to leave by the end of the day on Monday.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause campers, we hope that by letting everyone know early you can plan your trip around this, rather than finding out on arrival. This information was not available to us prior to the printing of the GEMBOREE Booklet and in good faith we ask that all campers abide by this request.
To assist your planning…….
There are several caravan parks within an hour or so travel of Willunga with beautiful places to stay – eg Mt Compass, Normanville, Victor Harbor, Middleton, Goolwa, Second Valley, Wirrina Cove, Cape Jervis, and there are a few free camps around eg Frank Potts Reserve just out of Langhorne Creek or you could plan to head to Kangaroo Island – booking required– but well worth the trip.
No refunds for cancellations after 1st February 2018.
Please ensure water tanks are full on arrival – there is limited water on site. No connection to the few taps on site is permitted.
Please note Black Water ie toilet and shower water CANNOT be dumped in the septic system and there is NO DUMP POINT IN WILLUNGA. There is a Dump Point in Yankalilla which can be accessed on WikiCamps. However, we feel confident there are enough showers and toilets on site. Grey water (dish washing water) must be contained.
Limited Power available for lights and 240-volt fridges only. Please be aware that some sites will require longer electrical leads and all electrical leads must have current testing tags.
Pets must be always on a lead and are not permitted in the hall. Please clean up after your Pets.
Entry for all vehicles will be from Railway Terrace – please see attached map. Your site will be allocated on arrival.
We look forward to seeing you in Willunga soon. Please travel safely.
